A week on and I am still buzzing from the experience. The course was not just spectacular but also very well marked, and the support team were all fun yet professional in ensuring our safety (if not comfort!) in the Highlands.
We showed up as strangers, but left as friends, united through the bond of suffering.
I’ll recommend the Fire and Ice to everyone. Especially those who hate their feet and feel the need to be punished. Legends, the lot of you.
I wanted to thank you all from the bottom of my heart — the technical and medical staff, and all the amazing runners with whom I had the honour of sharing this wonderful adventure.
It was my privilege to meet so many amazing, warm and special people. I cried leaving the restaurant. It felt like leaving family.
Massive thanks to the crew for an amazing job of looking after us.

How we use the personal information you give us as an entrant, an enquirer or a visitor to this site.
The Fire + Ice Ultra is organised by Extreme Adventure Races (Adventure Resources), referred to here as “we”. We are the data controller for the personal data described on this page. Contact us through the contact form.
Our lawful bases are performance of a contract (entrants), consent (newsletter, analytics cookies) and legitimate interests (answering enquiries, running the event safely). Health data in the medical declaration is processed with your explicit consent for the purpose of your safety during the event.
We do not sell personal data. We share it only with the people and services needed to run the race:
By taking part in the race you agree to your application data being shared with our race partners as described in the terms and conditions.
Enquiries: up to two years after our last contact. Newsletter: until you unsubscribe. Entrant records: for the period required by our insurers and for accounting purposes, currently seven years after the event. Medical declarations are deleted after the event unless an incident requires them to be retained.
Entrants agree in the terms and conditions that their name, voice or picture may be used for promotional purposes. If you would like a specific image of you removed from this site or our channels, email us and we will do so.
Cookies are small files a website saves in your browser. We use as few as possible, and nothing that tracks you for advertising.
Strictly necessary. We save your cookie choice in your browser so we don’t ask again on every page. This is needed for the site to work, so it does not need your consent.
Analytics — only if you allow them. With your permission we use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are used, how people arrive and roughly where in the world they are. Google Analytics does not load at all until you choose “Allow analytics”. Google processes this data on our behalf; see how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Other sites. The race pack and newsletter forms are provided by Brevo, and payments and entries are taken on runningadventureoutdoor.com and races.extremeadventureraces.com. Those services have their own cookie and privacy notices.
You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to correct it, to have it deleted where we no longer need it, to object to or restrict our processing, to withdraw consent at any time, and to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
