A week on and I am still buzzing from the experience. The course was not just spectacular but also very well marked, and the support team were all fun yet professional in ensuring our safety (if not comfort!) in the Highlands.
We showed up as strangers, but left as friends, united through the bond of suffering.
I’ll recommend the Fire and Ice to everyone. Especially those who hate their feet and feel the need to be punished. Legends, the lot of you.
I wanted to thank you all from the bottom of my heart — the technical and medical staff, and all the amazing runners with whom I had the honour of sharing this wonderful adventure.
It was my privilege to meet so many amazing, warm and special people. I cried leaving the restaurant. It felt like leaving family.
Massive thanks to the crew for an amazing job of looking after us.

Things happen. This is what your options are, and when. It is written from the payment terms in our terms and conditions, which take precedence.

In extraordinary circumstances you may not be able to fulfil your place. Before we pass the 90-days-to-race-date mark you can transfer your place — to a later year — on two occasions only. Each transfer carries a £50 administration fee. Everything you have paid moves with you to the new year; the deposit itself is non-refundable in all cases.
Contact us with your name and the year you would like to move to. If the fee schedule for the new year is different, the difference is payable on the normal instalment dates for that year.
By this point we have paid for, or committed to, accommodation, transport, food and crew on your behalf. Costs of withdrawal after the 90-day mark therefore depend on the amounts already paid or committed for you, and can be advised at the time of enquiry. Get in touch as early as you can — the sooner we know, the less is committed.
The deposit is non-refundable at any time. Other payments made are treated as above depending on when you withdraw. This is exactly what your compulsory insurance is for: it must cover withdrawal or non-attendance for any reason, with effect from the day you entered. Claim on it.
If we withdraw the offer of a place for any reason, we refund the entry fee in full. If we modify the event — format, dates or location — we are not obliged to refund the entry fee, and we are not responsible for flights, hotels, insurance, visas or other costs in either case. Again: credit card and insurance.
This page summarises the payment terms in the terms and conditions. Where the two differ, the terms and conditions apply.
